It’s been five years since me and my wife bought our first house together. The house is small but charming and it’s in a great neighborhood where we feel completely comfortable raising our two kids. The only drawback is our shabby backyard. Not only is it small, but it’s also infested with weeds that none of us can keep up with. I knew that there had to be an easier route to building a deck. So, I started searching through forums, looking for people who were facing the same problem as me. Eventually I came across post with over 100 comments that was titled “how to build a deck.”
The post recommended a product that advertised numerous clear, concise, and simple woodworking projects, with a large section devoted to decks. The comments overflowed with rave reviews so I gave the product site a look and decided to give it a try. Unlike the other plans I had seen, these were completely clear, concise, and included a detailed list of materials and steps. I completed the deck with a week to spare before my wife’s birthday and she was overjoyed. And, I can’t complain either. Not only do we get so much use out of the deck, but now I also have plans for many more woodworking projects to come.
